The invitation to hear Diane Foley speak at a dinner appealed to me because I was very interested to hear her story and also to show solidarity with her. Another reason that made it easy for me to attend was that I was attending only one day of the convention so I knew I would have plenty of energy to go to the dinner as well.  (‘Sad’, but true!) It was also quite a revelation to hear the powerful speaker from Open Home International.
